This chair has a fixed front wheel to allow it to be used on all types of terrain. If you would like a swiveling front wheel option with your chair you can order the swivel wheel axis kit to change the fixed front wheel out with the dual front wheel axis kit to be used for walks on paved surfaces or indoors.

In April of this year, Michelle who volunteered at the Carolina Honduras Health Foundation (CHHF) inquired about our Phoenix chair. She had worked with Aslyn a 28-year-old woman living in Limón. She had polio when she was just a toddler, leaving her with many life-threatening problems. She is the size of a 7-year-old and cannot speak, walk, or sit up. Aslyn is well taken care of by her family, but with her long-standing inability to move, it made transportation difficult. Aslyn’s family would carry her by foot to the CHHF Clinic which was over 2 hours away. Michelle and her team wanted to surprise Aslyn and her mother with our Phoenix chair to make life easier for the family. On June 17th they received the phoenix and LOVED IT! Making this the first of our chairs to be delivered to Honduras.
